CAID Foundation works to improve access to education, health and nutrition, child protection, livelihoods and public services. We also seek to strengthen community participation and awareness of environmental challenges. Our early initiative, Project TAARAA, focused on education, health and nutrition through community-based activities in Pakur, Jharkhand. We continue to build on this experience while working towards better opportunities for children, women and families.

Building Our Work Step by Step
CAID Foundation was incorporated as a Section 8 not-for-profit company in 2020. Since its establishment, the Foundation has undertaken early community-based initiatives, including Project TAARAA, which focused on education, health and nutrition in Pakur district, Jharkhand.
We recognise that building an organisation requires time, learning, responsible management and engagement with communities. Our focus is on understanding local needs, developing practical activities, strengthening organisational systems and working with communities and relevant institutions.
Our areas of work include education and learning, health and nutrition, child rights and protection, livelihoods and skills, environment and climate resilience, and community development and access to public services. These represent the Foundation's areas of work and intended direction; activities are undertaken according to available capacity, resources and programme plans.
Our Beginning: CAID Foundation was incorporated in 2020. Project TAARAA was an early community-based initiative focused on education, health and nutrition.
Our Approach: We value community participation, local knowledge, collaboration, volunteerism and learning from field experience. These guide our work with children, women, families and local institutions.
