What does CAID Foundation actually do?
CAID Foundation works across Godda and Pakur districts, Jharkhand — through Project TAARAA in Amrapara Block, Pakur, our founding initiative, active since inception: foundational learning, community health access, nutrition awareness, child protection, sustainable livelihoods & environment, and community/entitlement support. See Our Programs above for details on each. Godda and Pakur are both part of the Santhal Pargana region, and we're planning to scale to other Jharkhand districts as we grow.
Where does CAID Foundation work, and where is it headed?
Today: Godda district, where our registered office is, and Pakur district, where Project TAARAA is active — both within the Santhal Pargana region of Jharkhand. Near-term: we plan to scale to other districts of Jharkhand as our systems and funding grow. Longer-term: CAID Foundation is registered to operate pan-India, and we intend to expand into other states over time — though that remains a future goal, not current activity.
Is CAID Foundation a legitimate, registered organisation?
Yes. CAID Foundation is a Section 8 not-for-profit company, incorporated under the Companies Act 2013 on 12 July 2020, with its registered office in Godda, Jharkhand. It is founder-led with a two-director board and files statutory returns with the Registrar of Companies. CAID Foundation has also received 12A and 80G tax-exemption approval from the Income Tax Department.
How are donations used, and will I get a tax deduction?
Donations go directly to the three field programs above, through a registered organisational bank account managed with CA-maintained books — no cash handling outside the accounting system. Donations are eligible for tax deduction under Section 80G — please consult your own tax advisor for how this applies to your specific filing.
How can I donate?
Yes — by UPI (scan our QR code or pay to Caidfoundation@icici) or direct bank transfer. See donation details for the full account information, then fill in the donor details form so we can issue your 80G receipt. We don't yet have an online payment gateway on this site.
Do they publish impact numbers or an annual report?
CAID Foundation is early-stage and deliberately does not publish inflated or unverified numbers. The FY 2023–24 Annual Report has been published — see Resources & Documents under Financial Transparency above. Reports for FY 2024–25 and FY 2025–26 are in progress.
How can my organisation partner with or fund CAID Foundation?
